Playgrounds Near Centreville, South Riding, Clifton & Aldie: Restrooms, Pavilions & Ages

Every public playground we could find in our 11 ZIP codes, with the three things parents ask first: Is there a bathroom? Is there shade or a pavilion? Is it right for my kid's age?

Which playgrounds near Centreville and South Riding have restrooms? The public playgrounds with restrooms are Hal & Berni Hanson Regional Park in Aldie, Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, Catharpin Recreational Park in Catharpin and Braddock Park in Clifton (seasonal). Meadow Glen Park in Aldie has a portable toilet. Smaller neighborhood parks like Clifton Town Park, Centre Ridge North Park and Corner Hall Park have no restrooms, so plan a stop before you go.

Age limits: None of these parks post a minimum or maximum age online. Most newer playgrounds have a smaller structure for ages 2 to 5 and a bigger one for ages 5 to 12, with the age range posted on a sign at each structure.

🏠 Neighborhood (HOA) & School Playgrounds

πŸ”’ CHECK THE SIGN BEFORE YOU PLAY

🏠 HOA Playgrounds

Many of our area's nicest playgrounds are owned by homeowners associations for residents and their guests, and none of them have public restrooms. These include:

• South Riding: Hyland Hills, Dunvegan, Owen (Treehouse) Park, West Riding, South Riding Center Park, Freedom, Bryson, Edgewater and America Square parks (South Riding Proprietary)

• Centreville & Clifton: Little Rocky Run playgrounds, Sully Station, Virginia Run (James McDonnell Recreation Center, posted for residents only) and Sequoia Farms

• Aldie & Stone Ridge: Kirkpatrick Farms and Stone Ridge community playgrounds

🏫 Public School Playgrounds

In Fairfax County, anyone can use school playgrounds from dawn to dusk when school isn't in session and the grounds aren't booked for a school activity. Share the space, take your trash with you, and leave grills, moon bounces and pets at home. School buildings are locked after hours, so there are no restrooms. In Loudoun County, check the posted signs at each school.

πŸ‘Ά About age limits: We didn't find a posted minimum or maximum age for any public playground in our area. Many structures carry a sign with a recommended age (often 2–5 or 5–12) and adult supervision is always expected. Follow the sign on the structure your child is using.
